Chris Charley - Navajo

Chris Charley crafts fresh, striking, and sophisticated contemporary and traditional Native American jewelry. Born in 1972 in Crown Point, New Mexico, Chris discovered his love for silversmithing while observing and learning from his award-winning uncle, the jeweler Raymond King. Since beginning his career at age eighteen, Chris has mastered many styles of design and approaches to working with silver. He regards classical Navajo stamp work to be his favored and most exceptional skill and feels most connected to his tribal and cultural history when he is focusing on traditional “old way” methods and designs. Chris also enjoys working on developing skills in sand painting and pottery. When not engaged in artistic endeavors, Chris enjoys perfecting his basketball game.

Mountain of Jewels is delighted to carry beautiful pieces by Chris Charley.
